slide the corner

today we are starting novel study i am going to be reading slide the corner.

I think that by looking at the cover of the story I think it is about rally car racing and the journey that they go through to get there

I think that slide the corner most likely means that the rally car drifts around the corner.

Explain your thinking. Have you heard of the author Fleur Beale before? i have heard fleur beale before but i can not remember from.  I did some research about her she is a 76 year old author

after reading the back of the book i have found out that it is about a kid that wants to become a rally car driver and also wants to become a mechanic.
