I am reading a book about Danny the champion of the world by roald dahl I had to make my on book cover so this is what I made.

skittles experiment

Skittles

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

Materials:
1. Petrie dish

2. skittles

3. water 

 
Process:
Step 1: put the skittles in the petrie dish

Step 2:then add water

Findings: What happened was when we put the water into the petire dish and the colours came off the skittles.

Reflection: i have learnt that if you put water with skittles the colours

What did the colors do? The colors came off and made like slices of pie with each colours
Did the colors mix together? The colors did not mix together they stayed in the pie slice
Why not? what i think is that the colors did not mix because they had different chemicals in them and would not mix.

Chromatography

Aim: To separate colors by using the process of chromatography.

Materials;

1. cup

2. filter paper

3. water 

4.water base pens

Process:

Step 1: color three dots

Step 2: pour water in a cup

Step 3: put the filter paper in the cup

Findings: the colors spread out and mixed

Reflection: i learnt that colors have different colors in them

When we have a reliever:

Today with our reliever I started off fine and then I wanted to sit with my friends. And listened to music. When we have guests in our class I should act the same when the teacher is teaching. And treat them with respect. Next time I will behave and stay at my seat. And not listen to music.

My past in drama

In my past week we have been learning about healthy food. On Tuesday we watched a video of what takeaways look like in their photo compared to real life. Today we said a phrase of healthy food I did eat well stay swell. And when I said my phrase I had to think about my position on stage and how I said it.

What is filtration?

Filtration is separating solids from liquids by adding a medium through which only the liquid can pass. 

Examples are:

1.  a tea bag is a filter 
2.  coffee uses a filter
3.  a pool has a filter
4. your kidneys

Materials

1. dirty water

2. bottle split

3. sand

4. pebbles

5. filter paper

6. scissors

7. cup

8. funnel

Process - ( use verbs or doing words in each step )

Step 1

Cut the bottle in half.

Step 2

Put the top half upside down inside the bottle bottom. 

STEP 3

Add layers of filter paper and add sand and pebbles.

STEP 4

Get 1 cup of dirty water.

STEP 5

Pour dirty water into the upside down bottle.

When I did my one we did it all correct but it dd not work it was still dirty. I think it did not work because we only put one layer of filter paper.

how to put water in the freezer and make it not freeze

for week 2 of school we had to find out how much salt to put into water to make it not freeze.

1. What do we need to find out? THE AMOUNT OF SALT THAT MUST BE IN WATER BEFORE
2. IT WILL NOT FREEZE WHEN LEFT OVERNIGHT IN THE FREEZER.
3. How will we find it out? What i think is that we put different samples in the freezer and find
4. out the next day
5. How will we record what we find? Well we can put a table in our drive and have sample 1 in
6. one box and so on.
7. What equipment do we need for the experiment? Cups,salt,freezer and water.
8. How long will it take? One night.

Step 1: put half a cup of water in a cup.

Step 2: put different amounts in the cups.

Step 3: name them for example test 1 and so on.

Step 4: wait overnight and have a look to see which one is good is still water the one that is water
is the right amount.

chemical reaction

what you need to get for the experiment is baking soda, vinegar, X2 cups,tray.what we want to do is to make a chemical reaction (fizz).First clear a table and put a tray on it.Second put 2 cups in the tray.Then put a table spoon of Baking soda in one cup then add vinegar into the same cup stand back and watch as it should fizz up.And in the other cup pour the vinegar in then put the baking soda in.

well being

for health we made a video about well being. I recorded the video and this is what we did. we did it around physical.

CARR values

For the past few days me and my group did a video about commitment. In my group I had Ella,Josh,Bryce and Tasharen. Sometimes me,Bryce and josh was being a bit silly. but in the end we did it. because we put our heads down and did.

Fantastic Freeze Frames

For second period we had drama. For drama we had to do a freeze frame. I did it with Vin and Camryn we had to be emotional. The person on the floor is scared and the guy that is punching him is angry and the other guy aka me is being a hero. when we did it i felt embarrassed.
