Hunt for the Wilderpeople
(movie review)

On the 31st of March 2016 an award winning movie was born. And guess what i'm going to tell you all about it. The main characters in the movie were Julian Denison (Ricky Baker), The minister (Taika Waiti), Sam Neil (Hec), Rachel House (Paula), Rhys Darby (Psycho Sam) and Rima Te Wiata (Bella). The main parts of the movie were when quarter of the way through the movie Bella sadly passed away. Then Hec wanted to run away into the bushes so did Ricky but hec didn’t want him to go, because child welfare was coming. But Ricky didn’t want to go back because if he went back he would go to juvie (juvenile prison). Hec still said no but on the day that child welfare were coming ricky faked his death by lighting a shed on fire with his fake body inside. Then he ran away into the bush but soon enough hec found him but instead of going back ricky convinced Hec to let him come so that made them be in a big man hunt. They met some people on the way like Psycho Sam, Kahu and a lot more people. I liked that no matter where they were in the story line it wasn’t boring. Because everywhere that they went something happened. In my opinion the film did well because it was funny and because it was an adventure. If you like reading this then you would love the movie but my recommendation goes to people who are fine with a bit of swearing and can be anywhere in the world because people don’t usually see movies from new zealand and I would think that it would be cool if someone from another country liked this movie.
